Dancers Promote to Black Leotards. Hair in Bun
Now that we know our basics from multiple positions / directions, we are ready for more advanced steps and combinations.
While focusing on terminology, allegros, adagios, and more, dancers will work on honing their control and speed with previously learned steps alongside new steps and positions.
In these levels dancers will continue gaining speed, control, strength, and terminology.
At RJAD our ballet program runs off a strict syllabus, where new steps are added to each progressing level.
We require proper execution of said steps before advancement. Proper muscle development is very important to us.
Dancers must be 12 years of age and have had 2-3 previous years of ballet training.
All new pointe dancers must be evaluated and meet the pointe requirements.
A minimum of 3 ballet tech. classes must be taken alongside the pointe class.
Please talk to your ballet teacher if interested in going en pointe.
